Episode 46

Intentionality and Connection

In this episode I take you on an adventure and invite you into some of the ways, as wacky as it may seem, that I bring intentionality to something that may seem quite silly.  Being intentional speaks to Bashar’s 5 laws: You exist; All there is – is now; All is one and one is all; what you put out you get back, and everything changes except these 4 laws.

In the realm of wellness, I share a unique opportunity that is brought forth with the intention to spread love and light – to inspire hope -and to connect, even if for a moment.  I hope you enjoy this episode, and it makes you smile!

Tanya Gill:

Hi, friends, I'm so glad you are joining me today. And I just want to remind you how freaking awesome you are. Today, I think there's going to be something here that makes you laugh, or makes you think about things a little bit differently when it comes to being intentional in your life. I have this deck of cards, it's called troubled birds. And it's, it's a bunch of funny paintings of birds with different sayings. And one of them said, I couldn't afford therapy. So I started a podcast. And I thought to myself, Oh, wow, I can't afford therapy. I'm doing therapy and have a podcast. So what does that say about me? And then I realized that really, if this podcast lands on the heart of one person, I've done my job. And I know that if I put this out there, eventually it's going to reach the person or people it's meant to touch. So here we are. And this week, I want to talk to you about intentionality. Because intentionality can come from really, I guess, unusual places. And so I have to tell you about the gift that I got from Peter. Peter is my husband and we've been married three years. This summer, he gave me a gift and the gift that he gave me was an inflatable Pegasus unicorn costume. Yeah, an inflatable Pegasus unicorn costume is what he gave me. And it is the best gift I've ever received. When I get into that thing.

Tanya Gill:

It is like magic. Because really, what would a Pegasus unicorn which by the way, I've learned is called an alicorn. Do but spread love and light. And the best part is that if you read or listened to the trifecta of joy, my book not just the podcast, but the book. In the trifecta of joy, I talk about having minimum requirements for yourself. And I share with you the minimum requirements that my friend Chloe, who at that time was five had now Chloe's headed off into grade one, and Miss Chloe is still obsessed with unicorns. It just reminds us that there is magic in the little things, the fun things, the unusual things. I was given an opportunity to put this alicorn costume to use. So if you follow me on Instagram, at trifecta of joy, you will have seen the alicorn visited my aunt in hospital and delivered carnations to some of the patients. And it was just an opportunity for me to spread love and light, right? Who wouldn't take the opportunity. The nurses, by the way, were so amazing, it was so much fun. It was truly so much fun and lighting up the faces of some of those patients, there is nothing better than knowing that you have brighten someone else's day. So it was awesome. Some of you may or may not know that, in addition to perfectly imperfect life coaching, I also have a new position at a local high school. Oh my goodness, my friend, I have the opportunity to take that alicorn into our community and spread love and light with intention. And you know what? Intention is not just hopping into an alicorn costume it can be as simple as a smile or eye contact or a compliment or acknowledging another human being. But you have to be intentional about it. Having this gift from the universe and being able to put it to use reminds me of part of my own personal mission. And being part of a wellness team means being more than just supporting kids through their anxiety and the hard stuff but reminding them to You connect with the simplicity, the joy, the goodness in life to. And to realize that wellness isn't just dealing with depression, it is not just mental health, it is wellness. It is mind body, heart shifting toward wellness and joy and connecting with the goodness in life. I am so excited for the opportunity for this alicorn to connect with kids in a different way. For the next few weeks, the alicorn is going to wander the hallways and have dance parties just as it already has, and spread that love and light. And the kids are going to have an opportunity to vote on a name for the alicorn. And if they want to reach out to wellness in a private way without walking through the doors, there's an opportunity for them to connect with us in that voting realm. I just feel like this is part of true wellness. And if my intention and my purpose in life is to inspire hope, yes, it is to help those kids with the challenges that they face so they can get back into the classrooms and learn and grow through life as they're meant to. It's also about bringing awareness and befriending their inner critic and raising their vibration. And part of that raising vibration is the connection through my own unique weirdness with intention with who ever imagined an inflatable alicorn costume. But you know what? For me, this feels so authentic. I know for some people, it sounds so insane. But for me, it feels authentic, because it's a way to connect in a fun loving light, right way. And for some of those kids, they just are missing some of that. So if for even a moment, I can bring it to the heart of a kiddo that may otherwise have missed out on it, then my intention has been met, just like the intention behind this podcast to land on a minimum of one heart for as long as it takes for this podcast to reach. Because that is the beauty of this opportunity. And this now, I recently read an interesting thing I want to share with you it's on my phone here. And it's called the Five laws. The first law is that you exist. So take that in the first law is that you my friend exist. The second law is that all there is is now All there is is now and that's where that intention becomes so powerful, because you exist and All there is is now so what are you going to do with it? What do you want to do with it? What do you choose to do with it? The third law is all is one and one is all and that's that reminder that what affects you affects me and what affects me affects you our beautiful original inhabitants of this land, the indigenous people, I am honored to be on Blackfoot territory land treaty seven indigenous people territory and I am grateful to this land for being a part of me and for being able to contribute to it. And those indigenous cultures understand so fully and so holy this third concept or this third law, all is one and one is all we are all connected. The fourth law comes back to the intention behind the alicorn and how I want to put it to use in the moment and that is what you put out is what you get back So for a moment, if someone can put out a little bit of extra light because the alicorn gave some to them, then there's an exchange that's happening, that is positive. And that I believe, has the power to make massive impact, even if it's just for moments, because going back to law number two, All there is is now finally, the fifth law. The first law is you exist, the second law, All there is is now the third law. All is one and one is all. The fourth law, what you put out is what you get back. And the fifth law is, everything changes, except for these Four Laws. And that's a piece of realizing the power of intention because everything changes, when what you put out is what you're getting back. And we create that harmony with one another, one heart at a time. One Heart at a time. My friend, I hope this has landed on your heart. I hope that you've had a little laugh about my alicorn go check it out. It is so far freaking awesome. At trifecta of joy on Instagram. Ah, you know, I just love you. And I'm grateful that you listened to this podcast. So please give me a like or a review. Share me with a friend or two.

Tanya Gill:

I'll catch you next week because you're awesome and I am grateful to be able to be sharing this journey with you. From my heart to yours with all my love wha
